By installing and using Loki, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the extension or website.
Description of Service
Loki is a Chrome browser extension that provides:
- Ad blocking - Blocks ads and tracking scripts in "Hide Me" mode
- Media value calculation - Estimates the monetary value of your browsing data in "Monetize Me" mode
- Publisher inventory intelligence - Aggregates anonymous ad slot data across users
Loki is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We strive for accuracy in media value calculations, but these are estimates based on industry benchmarks and should not be considered financial advice.
User Responsibilities
By using Loki, you agree to:
- Use the extension in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the extension
- Not use the extension for malicious purposes or to harm others
- Not scrape or abuse our API endpoints
- Not misrepresent yourself or create fraudulent accounts
Acceptable Use
Loki is designed for personal, non-commercial use. You may NOT:
- Use automated scripts or bots to inflate media value calculations
- Attempt to game the system or manipulate data
- Resell or redistribute the extension
- Use Loki to violate websites' Terms of Service
- Use Loki to circumvent paywalls or content protection systems
Intellectual Property
Loki is owned and operated by The Lowkey Group. All rights reserved, except where explicitly open-sourced.
The Loki name, logo, and branding are trademarks of The Lowkey Group. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
When we open-source portions of Loki, those components will be licensed under an appropriate open-source license (e.g., MIT, Apache 2.0). Check our GitHub repository for details.
Disclaimer of Warranties
LOKI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:
- That the extension will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The accuracy of media value calculations
- That all ads will be blocked (some may slip through)
- Compatibility with all websites or browsers
- That our service will always be available
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LOWKEY GROUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use Loki
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any bugs, viruses, or malware transmitted through Loki
- Any errors or omissions in content or data
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Loki (or any part of it) at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
Future Monetization
Loki may introduce paid features or monetization opportunities in the future (e.g., the ability to actually earn money from your data through the CPH system). If we do, we will provide clear notice and allow you to opt in or opt out. Current ad blocking and media value calculation features will remain free.
Termination
You may terminate your use of Loki at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may terminate or suspend your access to Loki if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in abusive behavior.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Loki after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via the extension popup or email (if subscribed).
